Rocky Mountain is the closest mountain to the view and stretches in front of the overlook. Looking north you will see Two Mile Ridge from the left, with Rocky Mount to the right. The Little Wilson Creek Falls are described as, “many small waterfalls, water slides, and bathtubs” by Allen T. Hyde. The falls are about 46 min drive away from the property but well worth the site as it was rated 5 stars to hikers. It has been reported that the falls are well off the beaten path and it’s a great place to stop, relax and have a picnic.
Duggers Creek Falls is a small 10-foot waterfall tucked away in a beautiful cove a short walk from the Linville Falls Visitor Center on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Just 26.9 miles away, experience the short 3/10 mile trail to the creek. Along the way, enjoy lush foliage, wildflowers and mushrooms.
